The last month

Slowly but surely I am incorporating more figurative and landscape features into these pieces.  As I have said before, I draw, paint and sculpt when words seem to prefer to remain under the bed. The above-mentioned demarcations (object and horizon) can be seen as tenuous, exploratory steps toward a more concrete expressiveness that may very well play out elsewhere. I'd prefer to maintain a mere suggestive quality to the drawings, but I'll tell you, sometimes I just want to write all over them too.

    Never know.

Even a couple there I think I could live with... :)

  2. Thanks for the compliment, Ken. I'm working on the $ end of the process, albeit slowly. I still have to document them in a more professional manner and then figure out where to market them. There's are several online sites that artists sell their work through, and I believe I've found the one I will work with. However, there's always a commission to pay. A few other folks who have been with me for the long haul, and some high school friends have expressed interest and I think I'd like to give these people (you included) first dibs and save 30% to boot. This might require yet another blog, which wouldn't be all that bad. In the meantime, if you're truly interested in a piece or two, email me and we can work something out.

  3. Have you checked out Etsy, or is it beneath your level? You may not want to sell the original art there, but perhaps prints? See if DW wants to be your business manager. You stick to the art work, she does the business end. Just a thought

  4. Mojo — Yes, I've looked at Etsy. It's not so much that it's below me as the focus is a bit different and there are zillions of people on there. I've read reviews of all the sites I've looked at and painters complain they get lost in the shuffle at Etsy. Most sites offer prints at a reduced price, which is another reason to get really good shots of the work.

DW would make a good business manager. Perhaps if this early tactic works, I'll put her on the payroll.
